The XUV 3XO EV is the newest model to join Mahindra’s growing lineup of EVs

The Mahindra XUV 3XO EV is the brand’s smallest and most affordable EV. It is a direct adaptation of the ICE-powered XUV 3XO, and is effectively a replacement of the XUV400. Mahindra is offering the XUV 3XO EV with a single battery option, two trims and a features set identical to its ICE counterpart. What is the Mahindra XUV 3XO EV price?

The XUV 3XO EV’s variant line-up is pretty simple. There are just two trims on offer: the base AX5 trim is priced at Rs 13.89 lakh, while the top-spec AX7L is priced at Rs 14.96 lakh, both ex-showroom, Delhi. Customers, however, will have to pay an additional Rs 50,000 for a 7.2kW AC charger.

What is the Mahindra XUV 3XO EV range?

The XUV 3XO comes with just one battery option – a 39.4kWh unit – which has been carried over unchanged from the erstwhile XUV400. It returns an ARAI-claimed range of 351km, but in real-world conditions, Mahindra says the XUV 3XO EV should be good for about 285km on a single charge. For reference, Mahindra’s claimed range is lesser than the Nexon EV LR’s claimed range of 489km. The battery powers a front-axle mounted motor producing 150hp and 310Nm.

How long does it take to charge the Mahindra XUV 3XO EV?

Using the 7.2kW AC charger, the battery can be topped up from 0-100 percent in a claimed 6.5 hours. However, using a 50kW DC fast charger, the battery can be charged from 0-80 percent in 50 minutes.

What colour options are available with the Mahindra XUV 3XO EV?

Mahindra is offering six colour options with the XUV 3XO EV, five of which are monotone and one is dual-tone. The monotone colour options include: Everest White, Galaxy Grey, Nebula Blue, Stealth Black and Tango Red. Deep Forest (Green) is the only dual-tone option with a contrasting copper roof. On the inside, the XUV 3XO EV gets a dual-tone black and beige finish with copper highlights.

What features are available with the Mahindra XUV 3XO EV?

Right from the base AX5 trim, the XUV 3XO EV comes equipped with all-LED lighting, 16-inch alloys, rain-sensing wipers, a single-pane sunroof, dual-zone AC, twin 10.25-inch screens for infotainment and instrumentation, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, connected car suite, a wireless charger, cruise control, a rear armrest, a rear camera, 6 airbags, electronic parking brake and ESC. The higher-spec AX7L adds niceties like larger 17-inch alloys, front parking sensors, a 360-degree camera, Level 2 ADAS, a panoramic sunroof, a 7-speaker Harman Kardon audio system with Dolby Atmos and leatherette upholstery.

How different is the XUV 3XO EV from its ICE counterpart?

The powertrain aside, both the EV and ICE versions are essentially the same. Mahindra has positioned the electric version as an additional powertrain option – alongside petrol and diesel – available with the XUV 3XO. However, the EV wears a slightly different front bumper and gets copper accents inside out to distinguish it from its ICE counterpart.
